Messenger Setup
Connect your Facebook Page to Safravo to manage Messenger conversations.
Safravo lets you manage Facebook Page conversations alongside your other channels. Connecting Messenger lets you receive messages sent to your Page, respond from the Inbox, and trigger automated workflows.
Prerequisites
Before starting, make sure you have:
- A published Facebook Page.
- Full Control (Admin) access to the Page.
Step 1: Connect your Page
- In the dashboard, go to Settings → Channels.
- Click Connect Channel and select Messenger.
- Click Connect with Facebook.
- Log in to the Facebook account that has Full Control of the Page.
- Select the Facebook Page you want to connect and grant Safravo the requested permissions.
Step 2: Verify the connection
Once redirected back to the dashboard, your Facebook Page should appear as an Active Messenger channel in Settings → Channels.
To confirm it's working:
- Open Facebook or the Messenger app using your personal profile.
- Search for your connected Page and send a message.
- Open the Inbox in the dashboard.
- The message should appear and you can reply immediately.
Standard messaging window
Messenger has a 24-hour standard messaging window.
When a person sends a message to your Page, you have up to 24 hours to respond with standard messages. After 24 hours, you cannot send standard messages unless you use a registered Message Tag (such as post-purchase updates or account alerts) or a Sponsored Message.
This is the same restriction that applies to WhatsApp, but Messenger does not use the same template system — Message Tags are configured separately in your Meta Business Manager.
