SMS Setup

Connect your SMS sending numbers and A2P messaging profiles to Safravo.

Safravo integrates directly with premier global telecom carriers. Connecting your SMS numbers allows you to send transactional notifications, bulk OTP codes, and two-way customer support text messages via the Safravo API or the Inbox.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  1. An active Safravo account.
  2. Your business details ready (legal entity name, tax ID/EIN, and physical address) for carrier A2P 10DLC brand registration.

Connect your account

Provision or port a number

In the dashboard, navigate to Settings → Channels, click Connect Channel, and select SMS. Here you can search for and provision a local or toll-free SMS-enabled phone number instantly, or request to port your existing business numbers to our platform.

Configure A2P 10DLC registration (US only)

If you are sending SMS to US carriers, telecom regulations require registering an A2P 10DLC campaign profile. Fill out the registration form in the dashboard with your brand details, campaign description, and message samples to ensure high delivery rates and avoid carrier filtering.

Verify the connection

Once your number status changes to Active, test it by sending an SMS from your personal mobile device to your new Safravo SMS number. Navigate to the Inbox in your Safravo dashboard — your text message will appear instantly, letting you reply directly.


Technical details

Message segments & concatenation

A standard SMS message is limited to 160 GSM-7 characters. Messages longer than 160 characters are automatically split into multiple segments (concatenated) and billed accordingly. Keep your campaign copy concise to optimize message cost.
